The Indian Air Force is carrying out a rescue operation at the crash site of AN-32 aircraft which went missing near Arunachal Pradesh on June 3.
A team comprising of Army personnel and civil mountaineers have been airlifted to the location.
Fifteen mountaineers — nine from IAF mountaineering team, four from Army and two civilian mountaineers — have been inducted by Mi-17s and ALH, with all equipment for carrying out the rescue operation.
There were 13 people on-board the AN-32, a medium lift transport aircraft, which was on a routine flight from Jorhat in Assam to Menchuka Advanced Landing Ground (ALG) in Arunachal Pradesh when it went missing.
