Visakhapatnam: No medical aid, transportation; pregnant woman carried 5 km by four men

Visakhapatnam: Residents of Kottavalasa, Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, had to carry a pregnant woman to the hospital as there is no medical aid available in the region. There is no transportation facility too in the region. She was due for delivery and was in labour pain, when they carried her for five kms with the help of a saree before reaching the hospital at Paderu. On reaching the hospital, she gave birth to baby girl and currently, both mother and the newborn are said to be safe and healthy.
