Tamil superstar Rajinikanth visits Athi Varadar temple in Kanchipuram

Kanchipuram (Tamil Nadu): With just three days left for the Athi Varadar temple to shut its doors to devotees, lakhs of devotees thronged the shrine and one among them was none other than actor-turned-politician Rajinikanth. He visited the temple along with his wife Latha.

It was the 44th day of darshan and the 13th day of Lord Athi Varadar in the ninra thirukolam (standing pose).

The Athi Varadar darshan began on July 1 and was seen in sayana thirukolam (reclining posture) for 31 days till August 1, after which devotees worshipped Him in ninra thirukolam.
