Tamil Nadu: NIA arrests 2 in Nagapattinam over links with Al Qaeda

Nagapattinam: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has raided two persons in relation to Wakhad Islam that is aided by terror outfit Al Qaeda. The raids were conducted at the residences of Harris Muhammad and Hasan Ali in Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu. The NIA has seized key documents including laptop, pen drive, computer, news reports of plans of bomb blasts in various parts of India. The NIA has taken Ali to Nagapattinam superintendent of police’s (SP) office for further questioning. Investigation has revealed that both were involved in extremist movements and had cases of possession of fake passports against them.
