Theni: A woman died shortly after her husband, unable to bear the separation in Theni’s Allinagaram village in Tamil Nadu.
90-year-old Murugesan, who was a textile dealer, had stopped working the past three years due to his health. On Friday, Murugesan, who was feeling uneasy asked his wife, Rajammal, 78, to bring him a glass of water.
By the time Rajammal brought him the glass of water, Murugesan had passed away.
A wailing Rajammal recounted her earlier days with her husband and wished for death to come and get her as well.
Moments later, in an uncanny coincidence, Rajammal collapsed and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead.
