Thiruvananthapuram: The apex court rejected the Kerala government’s request to transfer pending pleas relating to the Sabarimala temple from the high court to the apex court.
The pleas filed in the high court in connection with women's entry into Sabarimala will not be moved to the Supreme Court. The court said that the state government can approach the high court if necessary.
A bench head by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi considered the state government’s plea. The state government had requested to transfer 33 pleas from the Kerala High Court in connection with Sabarimala including the plea against Sabarimala monitoring team.
