Supporters of Tejaswini Ananth Kumar protest, raise anti-Tejasvi slogans

Bengaluru: In the backdrop of Tejasvi Surya getting the ticket for Bengaluru South constituency, supporters of Tejaswini Ananth Kumar, held massive protests in front of her house seeking justice.

After the death of Union minister Ananth Kumar, there was a growing chorus to field his wife Tejaswini. The BJP high command too had expressed its desire to field her, but in the last minute, it decided to go ahead with Tejasvi Surya. This has upset a lot of people, leading to protests. However, when Tejasvi Surya met Tejaswini Ananth Kumar at her residence, she said she would stand by whatever the party high command asks her to do and that she would extend all possible support.
