Sri Lanka: Human bone fragments, pieces of LTTE uniforms found

Vellamullivaikal: Human bone fragments and pieces of LTTE cadre uniforms were found at a plot owned by fisheries association at Vellamullivaikal beach in Mullaitivu, Sri Lanka, on Tuesday (May 21). The process of unearthing bones and other materials was undertaken based on the direction of Mullaitivu magistrate court. The police obtained the order for excavations under the leadership of the judicial medical officer of Jaffna Hospital. Security has been tightened in the area and Mullaitivu Police are probing further.
