Colombo: Five Sri Lankan army soldiers were killed while two others were severely injured after an army truck collided with a train in Kilinochchi, Sri Lanka on Tuesday (June 25) afternoon.
Speaking to reporters, army spokesman Brigadier Sumith Atapattu said that the soldiers who were injured in the accident had been rushed to the Kilinochchi hospital.
He further said that the accident occurred on Tuesday (June 25) afternoon as the truck was passing through an unprotected railway crossing near 55 Junction in Kilinochchi, Sri Lanka where the soldiers were travelling from Colombo to Jaffna.
