Smriti Irani offers prayer at Bagala temple in Guwahati

Guwahati: After winning the Lok Sabha election by defeating Congress president Rahul Gandhi in Congress's stronghold Amethi, Smriti Irani on Tuesday visited the Bagala temple in Guwahati.

The Bagala temple is located at a hilltop of the Nilachal hills, adjacent to the Kamakhya temple.

The officials of Kamrup (Metro) district administration and the temple body also welcomed the former Union minister.
