Rameswaram: Lizard found in breakfast; pregnant woman, two others take ill

Rameswaram: A pregnant woman and two others complained of dizziness and vomited after consuming food that contained a dead lizard.

The women who work as contract labourers, were eating breakfast at a restaurant in Dhanushkodi when they were shocked to find a dead lizard in the sambar.

They were rushed to a nearby hospital when they complained of dizziness and vomited.

Relatives of the women allegedly questioned the hotel staff who dismissed the matter saying they too consumed the same food, but nothing happened to them.
