Kochi: The prime accused in Ramalingam’s murder has been arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Kochi. Ramalingam was murdered in February for allegedly opposing proselytization in the area.
The arrested Myden Ahmed Shali, 51, of Kumbakonam in Thanjavur district was allegedly hiding in Kochi and had stayed in different parts of Kerala after the murder.
The investigating agency has also seized the Tempo Traveller which is believed to have been used to transport the attackers on the day of Ramalingam’s death.
