Thiruvananthapuram: The atrocities against children are increasing in Kerala as shown by the rising number of registered cases under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act in the last four years. As many as 6,000 POCSO cases are still pending trial in the state.
The case of a seven-year-old boy, who was abused by his stepfather, and died in Kerala, is pending in the Thodupuzha court. There are more than 400 cases in the same court pending for trials.
