PM Modi promises panchdhatu statue for Vidyasagar, Bengal's man of metal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed electorates in Uttar Pradesh's Mau, but his target was Mamata Banerjee. He spoke about the recent violence in Bengal and the clashes at Kolkata's Vidyasagar college on Tuesday. 

Modi blamed it on the ruling Trinamool, and promised to put a bust of Vidyasagar made of panchadhatu (made of five types of metal), in place of the statue that was destroyed during the clashes.
