Need for NRC: Danger lurks as illegal immigrants head towards southern India

Bengaluru: The arrest of over 30 Bangladeshis living illegally in Bengaluru is another eye opener. With a large number of illegal immigrants moving down south, there is a major cause for concern and many have been found to be involved in terror acts too. Laced with this is another problem in Bengal, which has become a hub for illegal immigrants. The latest National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data states that West Bengal has the highest number of foreign convicts, majority of whom are from Bangladesh.
