Kozhikode: A 50-year-old woman who went missing on Thursday night was found by Kerala Police on Kozhikode beach on Friday. The Australian woman Vesna arrived in Kerala in April after befriending a Keralite named Jim Benny.
The duo had travelled to different parts of Kerala and reached Kozhikode on Thursday. on Friday, Jim filed a complaint with Kasaba Police, Kozhikode alleging that Vesna went missing from the lobby of the hotel where the duo had planned to stay.
Police conducted search operations in the area and found Vesna on a beach in Kozhikode.
In a similar incident that did not turn out so well, a 33-year-old foreign woman named Liga arrived in Kerala in February 2018 to receive ayurvedic treatment for depression. She went missing on March 14 and was later was found dead. The case remains unsolved.
