Maharashtra not fulfilling its promise of releasing water to Karnataka: DK Shivakumar

Bengaluru: Water Resources minister of Karnataka, DK Shivakumar spoke on Maharashtra not releasing water from river Krishna to the state. The minister said, “Maharashtra had promised to release water, but now is reneging on its promise stating that it too is facing a water crisis.”

Later, he added, “The last portion of One TMC water is being released from Ilkal dam to Athani and Kagwad.”
