Maharashtra: Farmer sends helicopter for bride's grand entrance

Maharashtra: Nitin Babur, an MBA graduate and a farmer from Maharashtra, was not joking when he told his future wife, Aishwarya, that she would be on cloud nine on her wedding day. You would think that this was his promise if you were at the wedding.

Babur, who obviously needed his bride at the wedding venue, sent a helicopter to ferry her. Her arrival was the talk of the town in the village in Solapur. The wedding took place on June 9 after Aishwarya travelled the skies from Uplasi village to the wedding venue in Pandaripur. Babur's choice of a chopper instead of a traditional horse cart or a buffalo cart, set the bar high for other grooms in the village. Needless to say, happiness was in the air.
