Let's Talk About Bharat: Bir Chilarai

Bir Chilarai was a great general who belonged to the Koch royal dynasty of Assam. He adopted guerrilla warfare successfully even before Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj of the Maratha empire did.

Chilarai also gave refuge to saint Shrimant Shankardeva, who would go on to become one of the most well known Vaishnavite saints of not just Assam, but the entire country.
