Thiruvananthapuram: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning in Kerala stating that the coastline is likely to experience large rogue waves and sea attack. The IMD has advised fishermen to refrain from venturing into the sea. This warning has been issued following a depression in Sri Lanka.

Over 100 houses were flooded and some severely damaged in Thiruvananthapuram, due to sea attack, on Wednesday. It is also reported that the waves will be rough in Kerala's southern districts on Thursday. The low-pressure belt above Sri Lanka is also likely to pave the way for strong gusts of wind in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal coasts.
