First time in Kerala: Transgender partakes in arts festival

Thiruvananthapuram: Riya Isha, a representative of the transgender community and a student of a government college in Malappuram, Kerala, participated in the Calicut University C-zone arts festival. This is the first time in history that a transgender participating in such a festival. 

Isha said to media after her performance that this is just a beginning and she wants other transgenders to participate in such events.
