Kerala store with no shopkeeper earns profits

Kannur: A shop in Kerala's Kannur district has no shopkeeper. Surprised? Well, this self-service shop is an initiative undertaken by Janashakti Charitable Trust, an NGO engaged in welfare activities for the differently-abled in the district. The interesting part about the shop is the products in the shop is made by those specially-abled people. 

There are products like washing powder, soaps, toilet cleaner, hand wash, cloth bags and many more items, which are household essentials. The customers just have to collect the products from the shop and check the price tag and drop the money in the collection box. The shop keeper residing nearby opens this store at around 6 am and closes it at around 10 pm.  The convenor of the trust Sugunan PM said that till now, no kinds of theft have been reported that they always earn profit from the shop.
