Ernakulam: Just a day after the sacked temporary bus conductors of the loss-incurring Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) and their families decided to boycott the upcoming Lok Sabha election, the high court ordered the dismissal of 1,565 empanelled drivers. The high court has directed the state government to implement the order by April 30.
The loss-incurring corporation had terminated 3,872 empanelled bus conductors following a directive from the high court on December 17. The court observed that retaining empanelled employees would be “unfair” to those who have passed the written test to become KSRTC employees.
