Thrissur: Kerala couple Ashraf Pangatayil and Abitha Basheer Vakkayil are busy inviting their relatives and friends for their son Abdulla Ashraf's marriage with a unique wedding invitation book. They gifted Vaikom Muhammad Basheer's book Ntuppuppakkoranendarnnu.
Usually people gift sweets and flowers while inviting people for a wedding, but this Kerala couple decided to invite their guests with a unique gift to discourage discarding of their invite. They gifted Vaikom Muhammad Basheer's book Ntuppuppakkoranendarnnu, labelled as 'Abdullah-Ambili wedding special edition'.
Ashraf believes that this new initiative will benefit someone. He also added that this book may or may not promote the habit of reading, but it is very likely that a book won't be thrown away. Ashraf also believes that the book will help people at some point in their life.
Moreover, this book will serve as souvenir to remind people of a wedding which they attended as the book contains the photograph of the bride and groom along with details of the wedding venue and the date of the wedding.
Be it on a shelf or packed up in drawer, or handed down to a reader, one thing is for sure; Abdulla to Abitha (Ambili) will be remembered for years to come in the wedding held in Thrissur on April 7.
