KAS officer files complaint against Karnataka chief secretary, 9 IAS officers

Bengaluru: A complaint has been lodged with the Karnataka State Human Rights Commission (KSHRC) against the state chief secretary and nine other IAS officers.

The complaint was filed by Karnataka Administrative Service (KAS) officer K Mathai, department of personnel and administrative reforms (DPAR), for continuous human rights violations in contravention of Articles 14, 15, and 16 of the Constitution.

Mathai alleged that he was transferred as many as 27 times in just 10 years because he exposed a land scam in Mandya Urban Development Authority (MUDA).

Mathai, in his complaint, said that the KSHRC hesitated to accept his complaint stating that it was no jurisdiction to interfere in his case.

He has also written a letter on April 23 to Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy seeking an appointment to explain the matter to him.

However, chief secretary Vijay Bhaskar, has denied the allegations.
