Wagah: India and Pakistan have agreed on visa-free travel without any restrictions from Sikh shrines of Dera Baba Nanak Sahib and Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur. Accordingly, 5000 people can visit the Gurdwara every day. Officers assured that the corridor will be operational throughout the year, seven days a week. Both sides have agreed to a crossing point. Work on the corridor from India's side is on schedule but it is pending from Pakistan's side and will take some time to complete. An Indian official also said that Pakistan has insisted on levying a fee for those who cross the corridor. India is not happy about it and wants the visit to be free for pilgrims. Pakistan has also refused to allow protocol officers from India to accompany the pilgrims, said joint secretary (Internal Security) at MHA, SCL Das.
