Deralakatte (Karnataka): The woman who was stabbed by her alleged ex-boyfriend in Karnataka, is now well on the road to recovery, a post on Facebook from her kin read.
The post also requested people to refrain from spreading fake news on social media, under the pretext of breaking news. The woman was stabbed by a 22-year-old man who later went on to slit his own throat on Friday (June 22).
The Mangaluru commissioner of police Sandeep Patil had earlier said that both of them had been shifted to a nearby hospital. The victim was an MBA student in Udupi, Karnataka. She and the accused, identified as Sushanth were in a relationship, and had only recently, called off the relationship.
Angered by the break-up, Sushanth decided to stab her and kill himself too. A case was registered in Ullal police station.
