Karnataka rains: Woman, granddaughter rescued from an overflowing ditch

An old lady and her granddaughter, who had ventured into a farmland on a rainy day (June 24) got stuck there, after a big ditch got filled up with rain water at a village in Koppal, Karnataka. Unfortunately, for the duo, the water started overflowing, making it almost impossible for them to cross it.

Perturbed, they raised an alarm. Fortunately, passersby rushed in to offer their help. With the help of a ladder and a rope, they brought the helpless souls to the shores of safety.
