Bengaluru: The Karnataka Health Department is looking to conduct sting operations in the state to expose doctors and hospitals which are involved in sex determination of children in the pre-natal stage. According to reports, the department plans to send pregnant women to scanning centres, get them to film the proceedings using spy cameras, and catch offenders to have them booked under the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act, 1994.
According to reports, the department would reward the pregnant women with Rs 50,000.
