Jacob Thomas to battle with Innocent, Benny Behanan as Twenty 20 candidate in Chalakudy

Thrissur: Jacob Thomas, DGP under suspension and senior most official of the Kerala police cadre, will be contesting for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls from Chalakudy. He will be contesting as a candidate of Twenty 20 Front, which is an organisation ruling the Kizhakkambalam panchayat.

 As government officials are banned from contesting polls, Thomas has to resign from his post as IPS officer. His candidacy will be a tough challenge for the LDF candidate Innocent and UDF candidate Benny Behanan. His anti-corruption image can be a powerful weapon to win the election, say sources.
