Punjab: The Sikh community representing Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has invited Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan to take part in the events of the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak in Punjab, India. The apex body of Sikhs manages historic Gurdwaras worldwide. The invitation was also extended to Governor of Punjab, Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar and chief minister Punjab Usman Buzdar.
“Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Sri Amritsar wishes to have your personal presence when this 100-day-long procession commences,” the invite stated.
The celebrations of 550th birth anniversary will start at Wagah-Attari border on July 25.
