With the collapse of the Kumaraswamy-led Congress-JD(S) coalition government in Karnataka, Assembly Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar resigned from his post. The incident took place after new chief minister Yediyurappa won the trust vote in the Assembly on Monday (July 29).
