Durga Vahini leads saffron surge in Bengal

A Hindu organisation "Durga Vahini" organised Shobha Yatra ( Procession) on Sunday to celebrate Ramnavami in Durgapur where women and girls in large number participated with lathi in their hand. This Hindu organisation procession in  Main gate area of Durgapur has made the headline on the TV channels last year taking out a procession with a sword in their hand in large numbers.

However, it was a relief moment for police as the girls and women did not take weapons like sword and trident to celebrate Ramanavami this time like past years.

Durga Vahini girls also played Lathi among each other to celebrate Ramanavami. Girls were also seen riding on the bullet on this day.
