Disappointed with poll rout, Deve Gowda says farmers alone can save JDS in Karnataka

Bengaluru: Former Prime Minister and JD(S) national president HD Deve Gowda expressed his disappointment and said it doesn't matter whether the members of his party are Lingayats, Kurubas or Vokkaligas.  Deve Gowda was addressing a gathering on June 7 in Bengaluru.  He added, they can be in the party only if they can be loyal to the JD(S) and asked them not to deceive. He also said he was the one who gave reservations to Muslims and portfolios to Lingayats, but he questioned ‘what is the use?”
