Cyclone Fani: Storm batters Puri, Bhubaneshwar; villages submerged

Puri/Bhubaneswar:  The cyclonic storm ‘Fani, on Friday morning, hit Odisha where gusty winds and heavy rainfall were seen in Bhubaneswar and Puri. In Andhra Pradesh's Srikakulam, disaster management teams have been deployed, and so far, no casualties have been reported. Several trees were uprooted, and the roads were left damaged.

Meanwhile, the railway department has made necessary arrangements in significant stations across the eastern zone.
