Ernakulam: Class 2 students of Karumalloor, Eranakulam in Kerala, were allegedly made to stand under the scorching sun and were not allowed to write their final exam. The children bore the brunt for not paying fees.
This cruel incident occurred in Aluva Settlement School. According to sources, the students were allegedly made to stand for about two hours outside the exam hall, enduring the soaring temperature. All this for not paying the fees for a month. The tuition fee is Rs 570 and the bus fee is Rs 400. The parents had agreed to pay the fee on the day of the last exam. However, the children had to face the brutal treatment.
One among the students even collapsed due to headache and the child was later admitted to Aluva district hospital. The parents came to know about the incident only after the students were back home.
