Amaravathi: As per the orders of Andhra Pradesh chief minister Jaganmohan Reddy, the Praja Vedika building, constructed by former CM Chandrababu Naidu in 2017, is being demolished. The building (located at Amaravathi) was used as a venue for public meetings, press conferences and to conduct administrative work as well. The building is situated near Naidu's house and was built at a cost of Rs 5 crore. CM Reddy held his first meeting in Praja Vedika and termed the building illegal and said that this was the last meeting being held here and ordered the demolition of the same. Prior to this order, the Telugu Desam Party had written to Reddy to allow them to use the hall in Praja Vedika to facilitate Chandrababu Naidu to function as the leader of opposition. The demolition work began on Tuesday evening (June 25).
