After 44 degree Celsius heat, Vellore witnesses hailstorm

Vellore (Tamil Nadu): The residents of Tamil Nadu’s Vellore witnessed a mild hailstorm on Sunday evening (May 5) after suffering soaring temperatures which had earlier touched 44 degree Celsius.

According to reports, the hailstorm lasted for about half hour which was accompanied by thunder and lightning. Several parts of Vellore including Senpakkam, Konavattam, Allapuram, Velapadi, Sainathpuram, and Anna Salai witnessed rainfall.
