The harrowing encounter, captured on video and now viral on social media, showcases the man’s near brush with death and the swift actions of local villagers who came to his aid.
The incident unfolded when the man ventured into the forest for a routine task. As he defecated in the open, the python slithered up from behind and coiled around his neck, leaving him in a life-threatening situation. Desperate, the man managed to grasp the python’s mouth with his hands while screaming for help.

Villagers passing by heard his cries and rushed to the scene. By the time they arrived, the python had tightly coiled itself around the man, causing severe distress and making rescue efforts urgent. The villagers quickly realized that they needed to act decisively to save the man. Using an axe, stones, and other sharp tools, they managed to kill the python in order to free the man from its grip.
No legal repercussions have been reported against the villagers for killing the python. Forest department officials have stated that when an animal is killed to save a human life, it is not considered a crime. Forest ranger Mahesh Chandra Kushwaha confirmed that the man was struggling to breathe due to the python's constriction, and emphasized that the villagers’ actions were justified under the circumstances.
