New York: A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump held hands and took a lap around the NRG Stadium post their addresses at the 'Howdy, Modi!' event, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor decided to share a picture taken during Jawaharlal Nehru’s visit to the US in 1954.
However, reactions from Twitterati was not surprising as they decided to troll the Congress leader for his tweet.
Taking to Twitter, Shashi Tharoor said, "Nehru & India Gandhi in the US in 1954. Look at the hugely enthusiastic spontaneous turnout of the American public, without any special PR campaign, NRI crowd management or hyped-up media publicity." (sic)

On Sunday, US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi waved to enthusiastic crowds amid loud dhol beats, in the high-energy atmosphere of the venue.
After completing his speech at the event, Modi walked up to Trump, and the two shook hands with utmost vigour, which was followed by a brief conversation.
