The latest version of the Gemini AI application will now run on Android 10 and 11 devices. Previously, the minimum requirement was Android 12. However, this new version will also allow older Android users to access the application.
After a rocky and controversial start in India, Google's artificial intelligence application, Gemini AI, is finally getting launched in the country. It will be equipped with the support of 9 Indian languages, such as Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Gujarati, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. In February, Google rebranded its Bard AI chatbot into Gemini AI and launched a separate application.

If you have an older version of Android, you can still download the Gemini AI app from the Google Play Store. Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai announced in an X (formerly Twitter) post about the Gemini AI launch in India and its plans. He wrote, "Exciting news! Today, we're launching the Gemini mobile app in India, available in English and 9 Indian languages. We’re also adding these local languages to Gemini Advanced, plus other new features, and launching Gemini in Google Messages in English."

Download the Gemini AI app from Google PlayStore. To set Gemini as your default assistant. go to the Google app and tap your profile picture in the top right corner. Go to "Settings" and then "Google Assistant". Tap on "Digital Assistants from Google" and choose "Gemini" from the options.
