India were relieved despite their peculiar start to the innings in their match against Pakistan, in the ongoing Women's World T20. They received a bonus score of 10 runs even before a ball was bowled.
This bonus was due to the Pakistani batters running on the 'danger area' of the pitch during their innings. This happened for the second time despite being handed a warning earlier. It cost them a penalty of five runs on each of the two occasions, amounting to 10 in total.
The first incident took place in the 18th over, when Nida Dar and Bismah Maroof were at crease, when they were docked five runs. This was after a warning was handed out by the umpires, in the 13th over.

And soon after, the second instance came on the final ball of the innings, while in an attempt to hustle between the wickets, Nahida Khan and Sidra Nawaz ran on the 'danger area'.
Pakistan scored 133/7 in 20 overs. India started off 10/0 without a ball being bowled and eventually won by seven wickets for their second victory in a row.
At a post match presentation, Pakistani skipper Javeria said that during her chat with the umpire, she was told that it was only after their players being warned thrice were the runs docked.
“It was unprofessional on our part, after being warned, we still trodded on the danger area, it’s something we need to work on, it hasn’t happened for the first time, it happened previously during the Sri Lanka series as well," she admitted.
