Will Virat Kohli succeed in Australia? Michael Vaughan gives his verdict

It is not without a reason that India captain Virat Kohli is often touted as the run machine and the backbone of the team’s batting order. The skipper continued to succeed in 2018, demolishing bowling attacks both at home and abroad.

The next series is in Australia and Kohli has a tendency to do well Down Under. In 2011 he struck his first Test century in Adelaide, while in 2014/15 he brought the house down smashing 692 runs in the four-match series, scoring four centuries in the process.

Fox Sports Cricket, as part of the promotions for the India-Australia series, posed a question to their followers on Twitter on whether Kohli would once again reign supreme in Australia.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan had just one-word answer to that. Vaughan who was a close observer of Kohli in England replied with an emphatic yes to the tweet.

For Kohli however, it is not only about personal glory but whether India can win their first ever Test series in Australia.

India will play three T20Is, four Tests and three ODIs in Australia. The first T20I is in Brisbane on November 21.
