This was also Kohli's fourth ODI hundred on the trot on home soil, having scored 113 against New Zealand at Kanpur a year ago. It was also his fourth consecutive ODI century against the Windies

Pune: India captain Virat Kohli added another feather to his famous cap as he became the first Indian batsman to score a hat-trick of ODI centuries. He hit a sparkling 107 in the third ODI against West

Indies at Pune on Saturday, to notch up his 38th ODI hundred. This was after he had already scored 140 and 157 not out in the first two encounters of the series, at Guwahati and Visakhapatnam respectively.

This was also Kohli's fourth ODI hundred on the trot on home soil, having scored 113 against New Zealand at Kanpur a year ago. It was also his fourth consecutive ODI century against the Windies, having scored 111 not out at Kingston, Jamaica in July last year.

However, Kohli's knock wasn't enough to take India over the line at Pune as India made heavy weather of the 284-run chase. Kohli could not deliver victory to India in the previous match too, as despite his swashbuckling innings, the Windies found a way to tie the match.

Earlier in the series, the 29-year-old had reached 10,000 runs in ODIs, being the fsatesr to scale the peak, and eclipsing the legendary Sachin Tendulkar in the process.
