A special proposal in the 24th over of the second ODI between India and England at Lord's changed the life of two people watching the game from the stands.
As the crowd was enjoying the partnership between Eoin Morgan and Joe Root, the cameras turned towards a man named Pavan Bains who went down on his one knee and proposed to his girlfriend Charan Gill, to her astonishment.
A pleasantly surprised Charan took a while to respond, while commentator David Lloyd announced that the decision was 'pending', much like it happens when the third umpire takes time to give his decision. The words 'decision pending' also flashed on the TV screen.
A moment later, Charan said "yes" and the words, "She said yes" flashed on the screen.
As the entire stadium was witnessing this proposal, Yuzvendra Chahal, who was getting ready to bowl, was seen clapping for the newly-engaged couple as well.
