Perth: India were hit by injuries ahead of the second Test against Australia as Ravichandran Ashwin and Rohit Sharma were ruled out of the game starting on Friday.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced in a media advisory that the duo was injured and will not take part in the Test. Also, opener Prithvi Shaw is not fully recovered and he too will miss the Perth game. The visitors named a 13-man squad.

India hold a 1-0 lead in the four-match series after registering a historic 31-run win in Adelaide.
"Prithvi Shaw is recovering well from his left ankle injury but still undergoing treatment. He has been ruled out of the second Test," BCCI said on Thursday.
