While blind cricket has gained some amount of recognition in recent times, blind football is a different ball game altogether.
Blind football has two five-member teams in which the goalkeeper is not visually impaired but plays under certain limitations. The participants use a ball with bells inside that helps them know its directions. A defender must say 'voy' so as to not bump into the opponent.
But what are the hurdles the organisers and the players face while training, playing or even hosting such an event? MyNation talks to some of the players of the Indian team at an event hosted by the Indian Blind Football Federation to get a knowledge of the efforts involved.
