Indian women missed out on kabaddi gold as they went down narrowly in a pulsating final against Iran in the ongoing Asian Games on Friday

Jakarta/Palembang: Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan won their first men's doubles gold medal at the Asian Games by beating Aleksander Bublik and Denis Yevseyev of Kazakhstan 6-3, 6-4. Bopanna's devastating serve came in handy for the Indian pair.

Prajnesh Gunneswaran Prabhakaran had to settle for bronze after losing to Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan 2-6, 2-6 in the semi-final of men's singles tennis.

The Indian rowing contingent gave a brilliant performance on Day 6. Dushyant won bronze in men's lightweight single sculls. Rohit Kumar and Bhagwan Singh won bronze in men's lightweight double sculls. Sawarn Singh, Dattu Bhokanal, Om Prakash and Sukhmeet Singh won gold in men's Quadruple sculls.

In an unfortunate incident, rower Sayali Shelake had to be hospitalised after complaining about abdominal pain.
