India won the first set 25-21. But Pakistan came back strongly, pocketing the next three sets 25-21, 25-21, 25-23.
India’s Deepesh Kumar Sinha, however, scored the most number of aces in the match.
Aimal Khan converted 22 spikes into goals for Pakistan.
Pakistan beat Mongolia 3-0 but lost to Iran 0-3 in the preliminary round and were beaten in straight sets by South Korea in the classification round.
