Nineteen-year-old Lakshay Sheoran did the nation proud on Monday when he bagged a silver medal in men’s trap event at the Asian Games 2018 in Indonesia.
Sheoran’s family was elated at his win and said that his goal was to win a gold medal in the Olympics.
Sheoran’s father said that he had expected his son to win gold, but was proud of him anyway since he had created history by winning a medal for India at such a young age. He said that Sheoran had previously won dozens of medals at the international level.
The teenager from Jind in Haryana notched up India's fourth medal at the ongoing Asian Games after Apurvi Chandela and Ravi Kumar's bronze, Bajrang Punia's gold and Deepak Kumar's silver.
